Meet the Speakers

Kelly Swanson


Kelly Swanson is an award-winning storyteller, comedian, motivational speaker, Huffington Post Contributor, and cast member of The Fashion Herotelevision show airing on Amazon Prime. She is also author of Who Hijacked My Fairy Tale, The Land of If Only, The Story Formula, and The Gutsy Girls Pocket Guide to Public Speaking. She just launched her one-woman show Who Hijacked My Fairy Tale in theaters and it is being booked all over the country. In July of 2022 she was inducted into the National Speakers Association Speaker Hall of Fame. 


Kelly’s wacky wit and powerful stories have charmed hearts and tickled funny bones for over 18 years.

I am a portrait photographer here in Kingwood, Texas. I am truly passionate about helping tweens unlock the super powers inside of them and I cannot wait to share that passion with you through this event! This event has been on my heart for 2 years and I am so excited, proud and blessed by all of our sponsors and speakers.

Studies have shown that portraits displayed in homes build children's confidence and I feel so driven to help tweens in our community feel proud of who they are!

Jennifer Carney


Jennifer Carney is the owner of Carney’s Tutoring in Kingwood and is a

former Riverwood Middle School teacher. Jennifer is also involved in many

organizations that serve our community including serving on the board

and/or committees with the Humble ISD Education Foundation, Partnership Lake Houston, Kingwood High School college room, Moonshot program, and Willow Creek Elementary PTA. Jennifer is also a former

Family Time Woman of Achievement award winner and was selected as one of the 2020

Top 4 Under 40 professionals in the Lake Houston area by Partnership Lake Houston. Jennifer and her husband, Colin, live in

Kingwood and have 3 young children (Addison, Blake and Luke).

Tamara Lexow


Tamara Lexow is the Executive Director of Hopeful Hearts Ministry - a place where survivors of trauma and abuse learn to thrive. Tamara is a writer and speaker with over twenty years experience in ministry to children, teens, and families. 

Tamara is passionate about 6 things:

  3. Helping people realize how precious they are to God
  4. Good stories
  5. Good cheese
  6. Good lipstick

Keila Arriola


I am a certified Self-Love Coach. I help women start their self-love and healing journey. Self-Love is taking care of all aspects of your life; physical, mental, spiritually, and emotionally. It is growth! I help women and tweens/teens start taking action!
